No one can take my sexuality away from me

The day I wrote this, I remember waking up and feeling the fear that I’d carried surrounding being open publicly about my sexuality just fall away. Putting this part of my life out into the world is undoubtedly the most vulnerable I’ve ever felt, but it’s such a gift to know that in doing so, I’m becoming the gay representation that I didn’t see when I was younger. I can only hope that in some way, sharing my truth helps make space for others to live authentically.
